JQuery: the triumphal march to the success

Five years ago, no one heard  about the JQuery. And today it  is the most popular Javascript library in the world, which is used by more than 28% of all websites on the Internet.

JQuery is an open source, it is loved by small web designers, and by a lot of the world's largest companies, and the library makes a well-founded claim to it, to become the industry standard in the development of a variety of Web sites. JQuery is not only enjoyed by the support of a broad community of developers of open source systems, but it even received the official support from the Microsoft.

So, what is JQuery? Perhaps the best answer to this question is from the creators of JQuery: «JQuery is a fast and  compact Library JavaScript, which is easier to work with HTML documents, handle events, animation, and interaction with Ajax to quickly create a website.

JQuery is involved in an increasing number of sites, including the most mega of the world, including
Twitter.com, Wikipedia.org, MLB.com, Amazon.com, Bing.com, Microsoft.com, ESPN.com, Digg.com, Reddit.com, Netflix.com, WordPress.com and many others.

But what about the other libraries of JavaScript?
JQuery is the most popular JavaScript-library of any category. Of all the sites that use the library functions and Javascript, for more than 38% are using JQuery, while the 'services' of the nearest competitor, Prototype, only 7.55% (see chart).
Now JQuery is dominated and even more pronounced - remember, a couple of years ago everybody   talked about the Prototype, and where is it now?

Not only that the JQuery is supported by independent developers around the world, it is managed to find a gold mine to use in the workplace. Of course, it is also one of the reasons for this success, so with the support of many large companies of JQuery literally booming.

Conclusion

It may happen that the "Single-core» Javascript library will soon control all similar systems, and even will become an unofficial standard for Web developers.

With its current pace of spreading  of  the JQuery, it is likely becoming in the coming years more and more popular, especially while developing new web projects.
